Alfons Maria Mucha

Alfons Maria Mucha (24 July 1860 – 14 July 1939) was a Czech painter, sculptor and advertiser.

His name is often Frenchized as Alphonse Mucha. He was one of the most influential artists of Art Nouveau, making a substantial contribution to the success and diffusion of this style in Europe and beyond, thanks to the creation of works of great circulation, such as lithographic advertising posters or albums of decorative repertoires.
